NMMU Business School hosts seasoned business leaders for annual Nelson Mandela Bay Leadership Summit

Business executives from in and around Nelson Mandela Bay will be addressed by business leaders from international companies such as Standard Bank and AngloGold Ashanti at the annual Nelson Mandela Bay Leadership Summit, which takes place on 28 June 2017 in Port Elizabeth at the Boardwalk International Convention Centre.

The upcoming one-day summit featuring recognised business leaders from South African companies was officially announced in April by the two event partners, NMMU Business School and the Ukuvula Foundation.

The theme of this year’s summit is “Future perspectives on ethical leadership for a transforming and sustainable society”.

The confirmed line-up of guest speakers for the Nelson Mandela Bay Leadership Summit 2017 is nothing short from stellar, and includes Sipho Pityana (Chairman: Izingwe Holdings), Brand Pretorius (Advisory board member: business incubator InvoTech and international consultancy firm Alexander Proudfoot), Skhumbuzo Macozoma (CEO SANRAL), Nosipho Damasane (Chairman: Richards Bay Coal Terminal), Jeff Govender (Chairperson: Ecipa Healthcare), and Lincoln Mali (Standard Bank Group Africa Head of Card and Emerging Payments in Personal and Business Banking).

Nelson Mandela Bay Leadership Summit 2017 explores visionary, responsible, and forward-thinking leadership through the lenses and lessons of executives in leadership positions at high-performance organisations, entrepreneurs and agents of change behind highly successful enterprises.

The event has become an important platform for leadership exchange, dialogue and debate, promoting leadership as a vital ingredient and integral process for unlocking growth, development and positive change in Nelson Mandela Bay.

Proceeds from the Nelson Mandela Bay Leadership Summit will go to the Ukuvula Foundation, a charitable, non-profit trust that was established to coordinate and fund social development initiatives.
