LETTER TO OUR GRADUATES

Dear Nelson Mandela University graduates

We are extremely proud to congratulate you on your Graduation. It is indeed a gratifying achievement and we celebrate with you.

This year we had 31 PDBA, 60 MBA and 2 DBA graduates participating in the first ever Virtual Graduation at NMU.

I wish to pay tribute to our dedicated staff for their professional and excellent service to you, and your families and friends who walked this path with you. It is at times like these that we are reminded that we are #strongertogether.

Graduations are prestigious milestones in the lives of students. It is an occasion charged with emotion, pride and fulfilment. Although your degree was awarded in absentia, there will be opportunity for you to walk across the stage when restrictions are lifted.

As a Business School graduate, we look forward to the impact that you will make in society and economy: Lead the change!

Remember, life is a journey and learning an ever-present companion.

In conclusion, the words of Charlie Munger at the graduation of the University of California Law School, 2007 are sobering, yet forceful:

“You’re not going to get very far in life based on what you already know. You’re going to advance in life by what you’re going to learn after you leave here.”

Congratulations, veels geluk, halala!
